St Thomas, Rainham
Our next meeting will be on Saturday 10th October, and this will be a workshop on 17th/18th century French repertoire at St Thomas of Canterbury, Rainham ME8 7RH. The church is at 63 London Road (the A2). There is a small car park, enough for about 10 to 12 cars, and otherwise parking will have to be on the side streets nearby.
The organ is situated in a loft at the west end of the church, so if anyone feels they cannot get up the stairs (which are probably manageable by most), they can listen down in the church.
The workshop will be led by Michael Harris, our President Elect. Michael has provided the attached list of repertoire as a guide to those who intend to take part; the list is indicative rather than prescriptive, so if you have other suggestions please feel free to mention them to me, to pass on to Michael. We welcome both those who wish to participate in the workshop and those who would like to observe - an audience would be good! We now need firm bookings for this meeting, and If you would like to let me know of your intention to attend the meeting (and to enjoy the usual tea!), and indicate the repertoire you would like to explore, or whether you would just like to observe, please do so by Saturday 3rd October, including a note of any dietary requirements. We cannot guarantee tea for those who book after this date. Cancellations will be chargeable. The inclusive charge for meetings is £10.
The workshop will commence at 2.00 p.m. and will be followed by tea in the parish hall behind the church
